EDUCATIONAL GRANTS FOR INDIVIDUALS, SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS
INDIVIDUALS
The Educational Foundation awards grants, restricted to specific areas of Yorkshire, for the promotion of education (including social, physical and apprenticeship training) to individuals in need of financial assistance.
To qualify, applicants must be resident in the area of benefit, which comprises the ecclesiastical parishes of Bardsey with East Keswick, Collingham with Harewood, Ledsham with Fairburn, Shadwell, Thorp Arch and the civil parish of Burton Salmon.
Grants can also be made to those who have at any time attended one of the Lady Elizabeth Hastings schools in Collingham, Thorp Arch or Ledston, irrespective of whether they are still resident in the area of benefit.
Those who have previously been awarded grants through virtue of residence, but who now live outside the area of benefit may, at the charity’s discretion, continue to receive assistance.
